Growing up watching his father manage a handful of prescriptions every day, Jonathan Hayes knew early on that medications were more than just pills. That curiosity eventually led him to pharmacy school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, where he graduated with his PharmD in 2011.
After completing a PGY-1 residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Jonathan spent years working in both hospital and outpatient settings across Los Angeles. He has seen firsthand how confusing medication information can be for patients, and how much of a difference it makes when someone simply takes the time to explain things clearly.
That is what brought him to OurPharmaCare. As Lead Clinical Pharmacist and Health Content Advisor, Jonathan reviews drug guides, medication articles, and supplement resources to make sure everything on the site is accurate and genuinely useful. No copy-pasted drug sheets. No jargon for the sake of it.
He later completed a Master of Public Health at UCLA to better understand how health information reaches and helps real people. That combination of clinical pharmacy and public health is what drives how he writes and reviews content at OurPharmaCare. When he is not reviewing content, you will likely find him hiking the trails around Griffith Park or catching a Dodgers game.
